Dr. Cynthia Jakubiec is the newest member of the Chiro-Med Health & Wellness Center and Designed Clinical Nutrition Center teams. Dr. Jakubiec is a board certified Chiropractic Physician in the state of Illinois. She completed her Bachelors of Science from Roosevelt University and received her Doctorate from the prestigious National University of Health Sciences in 2001. Dr. Jakubiec has also completed postgraduate studies in acupuncture, nutrition, Applied Kinesiology and Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.). Dr. Jakubiec believes in the treatment of the human body as a whole, through the Triad of Health, which encompasses the structural, biochemical (nutritional) and emotional aspects of the body. By treating imbalances in these areas, true health can be obtained.

Dr. Jakubiec has dedicated her life to helping people heal because her own life was changed through chiropractic care beginning at the young age of nine years old. Migraine headaches were becoming an increasing problem, thus her first trip to a chiropractor took place. Through a series of diagnostic x-rays by the chiropractor it was discovered that Cynthia had no natural curvature in her neck. Her neck was perfectly straight from the shoulder area to her head, resulting in the headaches. The chiropractor explained that this was most likely caused by an injury sustained earlier in her life. That injury happened to have occurred when Cynthia was 4 years old. She tripped and fell head first into a chair leg, knocking her front tooth completely into her gum. At the time, the concern was about her tooth, not the whiplash that occurred as a result of the impact of the fall. At age nine as Cynthia began a growth spurt, her body was no longer able to deal with the trauma caused by the unknown spinal injury, which was causing the severe headaches. Once the problem was correctly identified, treatment began and Cynthia's headaches ceased to exist. At age nine, Cynthia began to witness the power of the body to heal through chiropractic care. As Cynthia continued to grow and pursue her passion for gymnastics, chiropractic care continued to be an important part of her life. It became evident to Cynthia that she must become a chiropractor so that she too could help others to heal and to also teach others about what the human body is capable of doing and being through the guidance of a dedicated chiropractic physician.
